Quote that Hits It Right On

You don't have to be talented or gifted to produce a decent quilt, but you do have to be patient, determined and make time for it in our busy lives, and enjoy it!  ~~Edwina of Western Australia

Thanks, Eddie!   And isn't it just right that if you keep at it you soon become talented at it?

HEY!!!! Remember ME??

Yep, I am still around and all is well. I simply had a lot of committments all at the same time.  The organizing project got put on hold while I played roulette with everything else. Finished up one project of making gifts for the Moms at church for Mother's day and everyone loved them.  Not too many in my church group do sewing or other crafts but they enjoy what we do. Here's some pics of what we made.  Had lots of fun with it.

Coasters in sets of four

Potholders
Both the potholders and the coaster sets are made with Pat's CrissCross pattern.
Another thing I have been involved in is making baby quilts to send to Marilyn who will then get them on into Japan for the children there.  We sent our first 20 out last week and will have another 30 this week...late this week.  And I will post some pictures later on all those.

One good thing about these projects is that they are busting fabric stash so that is good for the organizing.  I am going to add a few things to the giveaway...remember I said while I was organizing and until the box was full...you are such a patient bunch! LOL  So......................
Let's add some textures to the GIVEAWAY box.  An eclectic lot here of rough, super soft, scratchy, slinky, super slick or smooth.  Some would be great for roof tops, some for pathways or ground cover, maybe tree trunks or rock surfaces.  Great for fabric postcards or other picture projects.
Textures of the eclectic sort.

So that's the pic for the addition to the box today.  Here's the "now ain't that just the way it always goes." for this organizing extravaganza.  When I started hunting  gathering fabric for the coasters, potholders and baby quilts, I put the giveaway box up so that it wouldn't get mixed in with these new projects and now I can't find it.   It's here, I know it's here and I'll find it. The info on the giveaway starts here.
Stay tuned.
